Women In Asset Servicing launches new website

Women in Asset Servicing (WiAS) have launched a new website: https://wias.co.uk/

Supported by the Embark Group, the move comes as WiAS continues to expand rapidly, across the UK and around the world, with recent events being attended by professionals from Europe, the US and Asia. The new website will serve as a hub for resources, event listings, and thought-leadership, focussed on growing female representation across all levels of the financial services industry, including senior positions, an area of historic under-representation.

Recordings are available on WiAS website of recent events - including their recent panel discussion with Dominic King, Senior Principal (Accenture Research), Alison Pain CTO, North Trust and Adam Belding, CTO Calastone.

There are also a wide range of thought-leadership pieces from WiAS members, on mentoring, the route to becoming a NED, negotiation styles and change management.

WiAS seeks to attract women to the sector, retain them within it, nurture their talent, increase their visibility within the industry and provide them with guidance and support to help achieve their career goals.

Kate Webber, Founder, Women in Asset Servicing, said: “The pandemic has been a difficult time for many. For WiAS, it’s been no different, with our ability to host live events curtailed. However, the pandemic has also brought new opportunities, with our online events drawing audiences from across the globe, who have been sharing their insights and experiences with us.

“This new website, enables us to further amplify those conversations and strengthen the relationships they’ve led to. If you’re an industry veteran keen to share your experience, or a young person just starting out in asset servicing, then do connect with us.”

Lisa Worley, Group Head of Marketing, Embark Group, said: “Embark is proud to partner with WiAS and to have provided our support in the design and launch of the new website, to help bring members and supporters together digitally and make their valuable resources more widely accessible to all. We very much hope the new website will extend WiAS reach and influence across the industry and support their aim to attract more women to the sector and to further their representation and achievements within it.”
